APPROVAL TO INCREASE THE PURCHASING LIMIT BID #18-0138 FOR GENERAL CONTRACTING & CARPENTRY SERVICES

Description

The bid #18-0138 to provide ‘General Contracting & Carpentry Services’ was approved for award on May 15, 2018 to Jon F Swift, Inc., Mailloux & Sons, Inc., and J2 Solutions, Inc., in an amount of $900,000.00 for a period of three years with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The Facilities Department requested an additional increase of the purchasing limit of this bid by an additional $200,000.00 on October 29, 2021. The Facilities Department is requesting an additional increase of $250,000.00 for the initial renewal period to cover anticipated expenditures due to increase in the cost of construction and an increased workload due to unforeseen projects being requested. The funds for these purchases are contained in the budgets allocated to the Facilities Services Department.



Recommendation

That the request to increase the purchasing limit for ‘General Contracting & Carpentry Services’ by an additional $250,000.00, be approved as presented.
