APPROVAL OF THE CIVIC LITERACY EXCELLENCE INITIATIVE: CIVICS CURRICULA
Description
The purpose for funding is to address learning loss among all students in all subgroups. These funds are provided to increase the capacity of the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) to support and reinforce Florida's Civic Literacy Excellence Initiative.
The applicant must purchase curricula in accordance with the requirements of this RF A. The intended purpose of this award is to support LEAs in purchasing standards aligned curricula for the middle school civics course and supplemental standards aligned curricula for any grade level. All curricula must support the implementation of the Civics and Government (CG) standards that are effective beginning with the 2023-2024 school year.
Recommendation
That the Civic Literacy Excellence Initiative: Civics Curricula grant application be approved as presented.
