APPROVAL OF THE 2021 - SEPTEMBER 30, 2023 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Description
The district will support the Florida Civics Seal of Endorsement Program by identifying teachers that have completed the state training. Sarasota teachers, to include those working at Charter schools, are eligible to receive payment for training completion. Payment is subject to appropriate reductions and withholdings. The Florida Department of Educator's obligation is to pay the stipend to the first 20,334 teachers who complete the training statewide.
Recommendation
That the MOU between the Florida Department of Education and the School Board of Sarasota County for the Florida Civics Seal & Excellence Endorsement be approved as presented
