APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE DIVISION OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS (DOAH) ADMINISTRATIVE LAW JUDGE SERVICE AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Description
The Administrative Law Judge Service contract has additional language concerning the confidentiality of student record information. This agreement is required in order to use the services of DOAH.
The purpose of DOAH is to provide a uniform and impartial forum for the trial and resolution of disputes between private citizens and organizations and agencies of the state in an efficient and timely manner.
Gap Analysis
The new contract adds provisions regarding the confidentiality of student records.
Previous Outcomes
The existing contract with DOAH will remain effective until both parties have signed the new contract.
Expected Outcomes
Any records created as a result of a hearing held in pursuant to Florida Statutes 1003.57(1)(c) and Florida Statutes 1006.07(1)(a), are confidential and exempt for the disclosure under Florida's Public Records Laws.
